I interpret the supposed branding of conventional meaning in symbols as an indirect realism. I often work from a daily collection of highlighted visual fragments. In order to challenge their objective interpretation, I expose them to counterpart fragments in a particular setting. Habitually, these settings become a breeding ground for reinterpretations of non-linguistic meaning.
In a similar method I combine photographs, painting, and Microsoft Paint drawings, oftentimes using the three as counterpart fragments in construction of the setting.
